He turned me loose on the trolling motor and helped him… it’s because of his ability to realize “what’s truly important” that keeps me coming back. It’s nice to catch fish, but a trip can’t always be judged by the expectations we put on it… One of the best fishing trips we had involved the lake up so high we launched the boat from the parking lot, fished for 9 hours, and didn’t catch a fish… I don’t recall if either of us even got bit! I just wish he would get a new ring tone… But then again… unpopular guides probably don’t have to worry about their phones ringing.”
